Shock the Rock 2010 RECAP
Great ice and good weather made for a great "shock the Rock" tournament on Feb 28, 2010. The flowage was being drawn down at a fairly fast rate ,
some 42" over the two weeks leading up to the event. Pre fishers had to stay on top of their games as flucuations in the water table also made for
changing fish moods and bites. As usual in the "competitive world" of Championship Team ice Fishing most teams weathered the adversity and dialed in
on some fish. A huge thanks to all who competed as well as the Dirty turtle for its hospitality and the X-tremeIce members who sacrifice fishing the
evnts in order to perform security , weigh in and other duties that these events depend on.
some pictures of the day before and Day of the event and a list of of the standings at the weigh In held at the Dirty Turtle. Vexilar and Strikemaster
as usual played a major role in our events success and to them we say thanks again !

Greg Austin checks out the lowering water table as stumps protrude through the ice in certain low water table areas.

Lots of old aquaintences and new ones weigh their fish...the 7 crappie , 6 bluegill and 2 Perch format tests all the skills.

How would some of last years top five fair?

Some drawings of items was done
as the weights were tallied and the checks written as well as the "PLAQUES" readied for this years "Shock the Rock" Champion Team. Here Jimmy
Montgomery winds a Lazer Mag Auger.

**TEAM HYTRY {West Allis and Stoll of Mukwonago Wi.} took fifth place honors, a check and also claimed "BIG CRAPPIE" pot with a 1.16 pound slab. A
total weight of 6.42 pounds.

Perrenial Front runners TEAM MONTGOMERY of the Reedsburg/LaValle wi. area laid claim to fourth place just roughly a quarter pound from the eventual
winners, they collected a check for a well deserved effort.
Jerry and Jimmy Montgomery 7.95# bag and had 7 crappie, 5 gills and 2 elusive Perch.

Third place and a nice check as well as plaques went to defending CHAMPION "TAD CLARK" and his new partner Ed Czerkas hailing from Lyndon Station
Wi. and Mauston Wi. respectively with a nice bag that included 7 crappie and 6 gills but no PERCH which would prove to be costly. A bag total of
7.97#

2nd place and "OH so Close' with a 7 crappie, 3 Gill and 2 nice Perch bag went to Tim Feucht and Keith Jensen out of the Cambellsport Wi. area with
a 8.02# bag. They collected their plaques and a nice check for their efforts and a valiant attempt.

.........The moment of truth came as Mike Riedel of Chippewa Falls Wi. and Adam Bohl hit the scales. A 7 crappie, 3 gill and 2 PERCH bag bumped the
scales at 8.18# and were crowned "SHOCK the ROCK" CHAMPIONS for 2010. A sweet victory for Mike and Adam as Mike has wathed his brother Paulie win a
number of X-tremeIce Events and his and Adams determination and game plan worked out as they had hoped.....here collecting a nice pay check and
Championship plaques are Mike and Adam.
